The Nook
Isle of Seil, Argyll, Scotland.
Coming Summer 2025

The Nook on the Isle of Seil, across the Bridge Over The Atlantic in beautiful Argyll, Scotland, is a cosy, stylish self-catering duplex apartment, suitable for couples or solo travellers.

Living
A cosy living area, with wood burning stove, plush sofa and smart TV. Perfect for warming the toes after a day of walking, wild swimming or stone-skimming…

Kitchen & Dining
A fully fitted, well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and ample worktop space and utensils. The dining area features a corner seat - ‘a nook within The Nook’ - plenty room for two, or four if you want to invite some fellow travellers or local friends around. It also makes a great spot to work at a laptop - if you’re that way inclined on holiday - and we have excellent superfast wi-fi.

En suite Bedroom
Upstairs is a lovely, calm, airy bedroom with a king size bed, with luxury bed linen and an en suite shower room. White cotton towels, Scottish seaweed & sage shampoo and herbal bodywash provided.

Outside
Guests at The Nook can use allocated areas of our large garden. There are seats out the front for morning coffee, and a table with seating in the back garden for drinks and al fresco dining.

Our chickens and bees
We have seven very friendly chickens across the drive in our kitchen garden - pop over and say hi to Betty, Roxy, Tina, Dusty, Dorothy, Hen and Anastasia Beaverhausen. Fresh eggs from the girls are often provided to guests (subject to avai-lay-bility).
Our bees live in multicoloured hives further down the garden behind a wall of hedges - viewing can be arranged on request.

Location:
The Nook is based in Clachan Seil, on the Isle of Seil, 25 minutes south of Oban, across the famous ‘Bridge Over The Atlantic’. Seil is one of The Slate Islands, alongside Easdale, Luing, Shuna, Torsa and Belnahua. We are based right opposite the Sound of Seil and the island’s nine hole golf course, which famously includes a hole that involves hitting your ball ‘across the Atlantic’.
There are loads of beautiful and interesting walks nearby, including one right over our back fence, where you can see the view below after a few minutes walk to the top of the hill!
There are fascinating historical sites, beautiful gardens, nature reserves and other islands all nearby.
The local brilliantly stocked shop is a few minutes walk away, and there are two excellent pubs a few minutes drive in each direction - Tigh an Truish, based right next to the bridge, with fantastic 2AA rosette food and drink in its restaurant and pub, and The Oyster which has a stunning beer terrace overlooking the sea.
The island of Easdale is round the corner - just a five minute drive and one minute ferry journey - which is home to another great bar and eatery The Puffer, as well as the famous slate quarries and World Stone Skimming Championships.
